Overview

The Admissions Specialist (Intake) provides Contact Center-based support to facilitate placement requests for patients choosing DaVita dialysis services. This role emphasizes service delivery excellence and building strong hospital relationships.

In Short

• Provide support via phone, email, fax, and web for patient placement requests.
• Utilize tools and resources for effective placement coordination.
• Contribute to the DaVita Guest Services CRM knowledge databases.
• Build and enhance relationships with hospitals and discharge planners.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.
• Respond to inquiries regarding treatment options professionally.
• Work during expanded hours to serve patients in different time zones.
• Achieve department metrics and goals.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with clients.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months’ related experience required.
• Data entry speed of 25-40 keystrokes per minute required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Ability to empathize with customers under stressful circumstances.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn about kidney disease and treatment options.
• Receptive to constructive feedback and development.
• Consistent and punctual attendance is essential.
