Overview

The Nuclear Station Instructor for Radiation Protection at Brunswick Nuclear Plant is responsible for developing and implementing training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to maintain a skilled workforce.

In Short

  • Provide effective instruction and evaluation in classroom and on-site settings.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for nuclear personnel.
  • Interface with internal and external agencies to ensure training quality.
  • Support assessments and audits related to training programs.
  • Participate in refueling outages and provide necessary support.
  • Maintain qualifications for various classes, including Emergency Response.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and oral presentations.
  • Utilize computer skills for training material development.
  • Work in hybrid settings post-onboarding.
  • Travel occasionally for training assessments.

Requirements

  • High School/GED degree required.
  • 2 years of related work experience required.
  • 5 years of related work experience preferred.
  • INPO Nuclear Instructor Certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory training requirements.
  • Experience in instructional techniques.
  • Basic computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of the INPO Accreditation process and NRC requirements.
