Shopify E-Commerce Developer (Part-Time, Remote)

Overview

This position is for a part-time Shopify E-Commerce Developer who will take ownership of the technical side of a growing Shopify store, focusing on theme development, customization, and optimization.

In Short

• Own the technical side of the Shopify store
• Build and customize Shopify apps/plugins using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Implement designs from Figma into responsive Shopify pages
• Build and maintain API integrations between Shopify and other tools
• Collaborate with the internal team and CEO
• Identify and fix UX issues and conversion bottlenecks
• Manage the Shopify app stack
• Work with AI coding tools
• Part-time role with flexible scheduling
• Direct collaboration with senior team members

Requirements

• Deep experience with Shopify and Liquid templating
• Portfolio of previous work required
• Proficiency in Figma and frontend skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Ability to build custom Shopify apps
• Experience using AI coding tools
• Understanding of UI/UX principles
• E-commerce mindset with knowledge of best practices
• Attention to design details
• German language skills are a plus
• Experience with e-commerce tools and SEO best practices is a bonus
