Senior Data Scientist - Large Language Models / Generative AI - Remote

Overview

The Senior Data Scientist will work on advanced generative AI technologies to create impactful features within the Datadog application, focusing on fine-tuning, training, and serving Large Language Models (LLMs).

In Short

• Build large-scale distributed fine-tuning and training infrastructure.
• Deploy LLMs on GPU instances for real-time use cases.
• Create new product features using advanced machine learning algorithms.
• Collaborate with AI specialists and scientists.
• Participate in journal club discussions on LLMs and Generative AI.
• Provide insights from massive data processed in Datadog systems.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain LLM models and infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Experience with Language Models, NLP, and large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with distributed training and inference frameworks.
• Ability to explain complex models to non-technical personnel.
• Passion for Generative AI and user-facing product development.
