Communications Advisor E-Volunteer - Remote

Overview

As a communications advisor, you will contribute to the FTA of the IDL by publicising each of the activities carried out by the area, each sentence, each court hearing, each report, each article, each document, each pronouncement, depending on their importance.

In Short

• Coordinate with IDL's communications department to publicise activities in the official media.
• Lobby with alternative and mass media in Peru and with foreign press correspondents.
• Prepare press releases, take or obtain photographs and videos, write articles.
• Translate communication products into English for international dissemination.
• Broadcast events on IDL's Facebook Live and other channels.
• Participate in meetings and coordinate with team members.
• Support the work of the constitutional litigation area.
• Evaluate and disseminate activities in coordination with responsible members.
• Develop contacts with national and foreign press.
• Produce communication products and manage public activities.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in journalism or communications or 5 years' experience in journalism.
• Excellent Spanish and good writing skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven experience in journalism and communications in NGOs.
• Knowledge of indigenous peoples and environmental issues.
• Proficiency in graphic design programmes and social networks.
• Experience in photo and video production for media.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
