Junior Accountant - Remote

Overview

An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic finance team in a multi-national, growth-oriented organization backed by strong institutional investors.

In Short

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and maintain general ledger.
• Maintain proper accounting registers for the Group Companies in Uruguay.
• Process monthly off-takers and vendors invoices.
• Process monthly payments.
• Assist in the preparation of the month-end close process, i.e. accruals, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process and record employee expense reports.
• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the management team, lenders and tax equity partners.
• Assist with preparing supporting files for the Company’s external financial audit and tax compliance.
• Support local tax billings and payments.
• Assist with onboarding new projects into the accounting software.
• Help manage treasury functions of the projects.
• Reconcile bank accounts.

Requirements

• Experience in accounting. Preferred, but not required in infrastructure or renewable energy sector.
• Prior experience with Netsuite an advantage;
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a pro-active approach to continuous process improvements;
• A proven ability to organize multiple priorities, work well under pressure to meet various deadlines.
• English is an advantage.
