Overview

The Maritime Policy Coordinator recommends, develops, presents, and negotiates industry positions on legislative, regulatory and policy matters involving ship design and operations, safety, security, training and labor affairs, impacting the cruise industry.

In Short

  • Collaborates with the Global Maritime Policy Team.
  • Develops and presents CLIA policy to regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinates maritime policy matters with stakeholders.
  • Facilitates meetings for relevant committees and working groups.
  • Participates in international maritime organization delegations.
  • Assists with management of the Maritime Policy team.
  • Manages multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Requires technical training and experience.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s level degree.
  • Approximately 25% travel required.

Requirements

  • Technical training and experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
  • Background in shipboard operations or engineering preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 0-4+ years of job-related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
