Overview

The Social Service Advocate in the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is responsible for investigating and resolving complaints made by or on behalf of residents in nursing and residential care homes, ensuring that their rights and quality of life are maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
  • Three years of experience in long-term care advocacy or related areas.
  • Certification as a Long-Term Care Ombudsman preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with case management and client advocacy.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to manage time and projects effectively.
  • Valid California driver’s license required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must pass a background check.
