Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, overseeing the monthly close process, and managing key accounting functions including billing, accounts payable (AP), and general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within the organization. 

In Short

• Responsible for the consolidated month-end close process.
• Compile or review balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts.
• Subject matter expert in revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Consolidate financial reporting results for internal and external distribution.
• Work alongside the Controller for technical accounting matters.
• Serve as the primary contact for the annual external audit.
• Oversee the billing process for timely and accurate invoicing.
• Manage accounts payable including vendor payment processing.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
• Leverage Sage Intacct for reporting and workflow efficiencies.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years prior experience in full cycle accounting.
• Public accounting background (audit) is ideal.
• Experience with revenue recognition according to ASC 606.
• Track record of managing financial reporting for private equity backed companies.
• Prior experience with Sage Intacct ERP strongly preferred.
