Associate Director of Food Safety & QA - Remote

Overview

CookUnity is seeking an Associate Director of Food Safety & QA to ensure that our food is consistently safe, high-quality, and fit for consumption. In this role, you will develop and execute strategic FSQA initiatives across all CookUnity manufacturing locations in the U.S., ensuring compliance with local, regional, and federal regulations, as well as internal safety standards.

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Manage internal food safety audit programs.
• Develop kitchen food safety KPIs.
• Oversee pest control initiatives.
• Train employees on FSQA standards.
• Implement food safety checklists and reports.
• Manage supplier approval processes.
• Lead response to food safety incidents.
• Develop crisis management protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
• Strong knowledge of FSMA, GMP, HACCP.
• Experience in writing and executing SOPs.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
