Security Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Security Design Engineer role will be experienced in protective design, physical security and/or civil construction to support the Client's Global Security Systems & Technology program. The Specialist will possess strong knowledge in security, design, construction, and project delivery processes as they relate to protective design and physical security for critical facilities, particularly data centers.

In Short

• Ensure that all protective design requirements and guidelines are clearly communicated to the project team.
• Attend meetings with project design teams to coordinate protective design requirements.
• Work with internal partners to ensure protective design elements are appropriately coordinated.
• Work with external design consultants to incorporate protective design elements into contract documents.
• Review design team drawings, contractor submittals and RFIs.
• Ensure protective design elements are constructed and maintained according to standards.
• Support efforts to scale the protective design practice.

Requirements

• Experience in protective design, physical security, or civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of project delivery processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with local and international laws related to security design.
• Experience in reviewing design documents and contractor submissions.
