Overview

This role as a Data Scientist at Contact Energy involves making critical business decisions that influence revenue and risk, while working with the Trading team on trading algorithms.

Requirements

• Intermediate R data wrangling abilities (dplyr, tidyr).
• Experience with Excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of NZ energy markets.
• Collaborative mindset.
• Exposure to visual basic and Excel macros.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with quantitative regression ML models (Arima).
• Knowledge of statistical regression (Linear and multi-linear).
• Git versioning experience is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (FaST agile or Scrum) is a bonus.
