Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The ideal candidate will possess experience in both accounting/tax and assurance practices. This role offers the opportunity to enhance one’s skill set by engaging with a diverse clientele across various industries.

In Short

• Independent completion of audit, review, and compilation files, along with related tax preparations.
• Preparation of complex segments of the files.
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
• Mentoring Junior and Intermediate accountants.
• Fostering effective working relationships with clients.
• Reviewing the accuracy of work completed by team members.
• Responding to inquiries from clients, managers, and partners.
• Maintaining technical knowledge in regard to IFRS, ASPE, and CAS.
• Managing allocated projects or assignments.
• Supervising and training junior and intermediate staff members.

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of public accounting experience.
• Possession of leadership qualities.
• A completed University Accounting degree and a CPA designation or significant progress towards completing it.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with ASPE, IFRS, and CAS.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Caseware, Jazz-it, Tax Prep, QuickBooks, and Simply Accounting.
