Overview

The Network Security Engineer SME is responsible for managing and securing network infrastructures, ensuring compliance with security policies, and providing technical support for various systems.

• Manage nodes in monitoring tools like Splunk and Riverbed.
• Update monitoring tools using Ansible.
• Oversee information technology security including backups and firewalls.
• Provide guidance on information systems security policies.
• Troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN infrastructures.
• Perform system upgrades and implement new security policies.
• Conduct vulnerability and risk analyses for computer systems.
• Support systems/services certification and accreditation activities.
• Integrate and implement security solutions for systems.
• Analyze and define security requirements for various systems.

Requirements

• Five years of total experience, with two years in troubleshooting computing devices.
• Strong technical background; CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
• Proficiency in networking and cybersecurity technologies.
• Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems.
• Knowledge of various protocols including DNS, HTTP, and DHCP.
• CompTIA Security+, CASP+, or CCCP certification preferred.
• Experience in Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
