Overview

Compass Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Financial Manager to lead and support critical accounting and financial operations. This role plays a key part in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and supporting organizational growth.

In Short

• Oversee month-end billing processes and ensure accurate invoices.
• Lead accounts payable operations and manage vendor invoices.
• Review and approve employee expense reports.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial discrepancies and provide insights.
• Enhance financial reporting using Excel and other systems.
• Support internal and external audits for compliance.
• Implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Collaborate with program management for financial planning.
• Lead special projects and financial initiatives.

Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in government contracting accounting preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks or ERP/accounting systems.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5–8+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
