Process Development Engineer III - Remote

Overview

As the Process Development Engineer, you will actively participate as a key cross-functional team member on new product development projects with a focus on design for manufacturability and the design, development, implementation and validation of manufacturing processes, test methods and equipment.

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and validation of manufacturing processes for new products.
• Participate in regular project meetings and reviews with cross-functional team members.
• Document process development including manufacturing procedures, protocols, and reports.
• Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of product design, manufacture, and assembly techniques.
• Estimate resource requirements and production times for manufacturing processes.
• Train technicians and quality assurance on new design and process development.
• Manage the manufacturing site selection process.
• Participate in or create and control a project budget.
• Act as a subject matter expert for design and technology transfers to manufacturing.
• Supervise or manage technicians and engineering interns.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in an engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of industrial experience in process development.
• Hands-on technical aptitude with knowledge of cGMP and GLP.
• Working knowledge of DOE and other statistical methods.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and write reports.
• Basic tooling, design and drafting knowledge.
• Training in Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma.
• Experience with process validation is an advantage.
• PMO certification is a distinct advantage.
