Senior Planner - Planning Department - Citywide Planning - Remote

In Short

• Responsible for performing complex planning and supervisory work.
• Supervision of a section within the City's Planning Department.
• Development of recommendations on planning and zoning issues.
• Staffing of boards and committees.
• Review of work performed by subordinate planners.
• Conducts special studies on projects such as land use and zoning plans.
• Prepares written reports and makes presentations at public meetings.
• Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned staff members.
• Oversees preparation of publications issued by the Department.
• Plans and conducts neighborhood meetings with residents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of urban planning experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
• Preferred: AICP certification.
• Experience with MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS software.
• Strong writing skills.
• Experience facilitating work groups.
• Experience with public outreach and document preparation.
