Overview

As a Principal Frontend Engineer at Circuit, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience of our core product and setting the technical foundation for our frontend architecture as we scale.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain core user-facing features in Circuit’s web application.
• Translate product requirements into polished, responsive, and accessible UI.
• Contribute to frontend architecture and technical decisions.
• Own features end-to-end from implementation to production release.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in technical discussions and design reviews.
• Provide code reviews and mentorship.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to improve UX.
• Drive improvements to performance and developer experience.
• Manage individual priorities while maintaining execution standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional frontend or full-stack engineering experience.
• Experience as a staff or principal-level contributor.
• Collaboration with Product and Design partners.
• Ability to turn product requirements into production-ready solutions.
• Track record of improving code quality and frontend practices.
• Experience with performance, reliability, and maintainability in frontend codebases.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong proficiency with CSS Modules and component-scoped styling.
• Experience with modern state management patterns.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
