Overview

We have a great opportunity for a recent college grad or early career, EIT Certified Structural Engineer to join our team. The Structural Engineer will be EI or EIT Certified and work with the Engineer of Record on a variety of telecom projects. Individual will have an understanding of typical building construction types and be familiar with practical methods used to analyze, design, and/or modify a variety of structures. Candidate will apply his/her knowledge of wireless equipment (antennas, fiber, carrier services etc.) and experience with structural analysis and design of towers and mounts to assigned projects. He/she will understand and adhere to customer requirements and document job information as needed. Preferred location, Roswell, GA. Remote location will be considered for candidates located in the Southeast.

In Short

  • Perform detailed structural analysis of telecommunication towers.
  • Review work of Associate and Design Engineers.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of third-party work.
  • Lead small to moderate sized projects.
  • Specify reinforcement systems for tower overstresses.
  • Produce tower and foundation conceptual sketches.
  • Participate in development of engineering processes.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines.
  • Handle routine contract administration.
  • May serve as Project Engineer on smaller projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • EI or EIT Certification a MUST.
  • 1-5 years experience in structural engineering.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of TNX Tower, Enercalc, PLS Caisson preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with teams and independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel within local markets.
