Overview

This position is an entry-level role in Risk Adjustment where the analyst will learn to demonstrate proficiency in Risk Adjustment Coding for government insurance programs such as Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act.

  • Maintain knowledge of coding workflow and technology.
  • Comply with HIPAA for data privacy and security.
  • Complete continuing education for certification.
  • Work with Microsoft Office and coding software.
  • Develop expertise in medical terminology and anatomy.

Requirements

  • National Professional Coding Certification from AHIMA or AAPC.
  • Some experience in medical coding or healthcare.
  • Functional knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Complete internal CRC training within one year of hire.
  • Preferred: CRC certification already obtained.
  • Preferred: ICD-CM diagnosis coding experience.
