We are seeking a Learning Engineer to help us deeply understand how learners interact with our platform and how their skills grow over time.

In Short

  • Partner with engineering to design and implement event tracking.
  • Ensure logging schemas capture fine-grained data.
  • Audit and maintain data quality for actionable insights.
  • Analyze learner data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Apply learning science models to track skill growth.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers on features.
  • Support A/B testing and measure effectiveness of interventions.
  • Deliver business-oriented reports and dashboards.
  • Demonstrate clear communication for non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for improving learner outcomes through data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Learning Sciences or related fields.
  • Experience analyzing learner interaction data.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills (SQL, Python, R).
  • Experience with cognitive modeling and educational data mining.
  • Familiarity with mathematics instruction at the higher education level.
  • Knowledge of learning science research and best practices.
  • Combination of education and relevant experience considered.
  • Successful pre-employment background check required.
