Procurement Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for growing and maintaining Cambium’s network of log sourcing partners across the Southeastern US, focusing on building relationships and ensuring the utilization of salvaged materials.

In Short

• Manage inbound requests from tree service companies.
• Educate users on the log selling process.
• Convert leads into suppliers through follow-ups.
• Make in-person visits to close deals.
• Maintain contact with established suppliers.
• Monitor and improve the quality of suppliers’ loads.
• Record interactions in HubSpot.
• Enter sale data into Mill Market.
• Work with the software team for product improvements.
• Travel one week per month.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in sales or customer service.
• Spanish language proficiency is desirable.
• Excellent memory for details.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to answer calls at odd hours.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• No prior knowledge of trees or lumber required.
• Willingness to travel.
