Overview

The Fund Accounting Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance for investment funds. This role ensures accurate fund accounting, investor reporting, and regulatory adherence while optimizing financial processes.

In Short

• Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly fund accounting processes.
• Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Ensure accurate allocation of income and expenses.
• Manage intercompany transactions and capital calls.
• Collaborate with external auditors for year-end audits.
• Design and implement internal controls for fund assets.
• Ensure compliance with SEC and IRS requirements.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in GAAP and fund-level reporting.
• Experience with partnership structures and investor compliance.
• Ability to implement strong financial controls.
• Skilled in capital account reporting and LP communications.
• Ability to improve fund accounting workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with effective time management skills.
• Comfortable learning new software and cloud-based systems.
