Controller for Startups in BioTech and Healthcare - Remote

Overview

Burkland is seeking a dynamic and strategic Controller to support venture-backed startups in the BioTech, MedTech, Digital Health, and Healthcare IT sectors. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and optimizing accounting systems.

In Short

• Hands-on role responsible for financial data reporting.
• Facilitate client meetings and oversee financial closes.
• Support startup clients without internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience.
• Experience in a startup environment preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with various accounting processes.
• Familiarity with G-Suite, Quickbooks, and other tools.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Integrity and initiative in work.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Comfortable with Controller-level responsibilities.
