General Ledger Reconciliation

Overview

Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) is hiring a General Ledger Property Accountant to support the financial operations of our affordable housing portfolio. This staff-level position is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing variances, and assisting with audits and reporting. The ideal candidate has solid accounting experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting BHP’s mission of providing affordable housing solutions in the Boulder community.

In Short

Prepare monthly closing transactions to produce financial statements.
Perform month end general ledger reconciliations.
Analyze monthly financial statements for completeness and accuracy.
Analyze cash flow and prepare financial reports for management.
Backup training for various processes.
Interact with investors, auditors, and other partners.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in AR resident ledgers.
Prepare assigned annual budget responsibilities.
Maintain professionalism and integrity.
Actively support and uphold BHP’s stated mission and values.

Requirements

4-year degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Ability to perform complex calculations using Excel.
Acceptable background information including criminal history check.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to cope with change and ambiguity.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Self-motivated and resourceful.
