Overview

The Global Flyways Communications Officer will manage the planning, coordination, and implementation of BirdLife's Global Flyways communications strategy, supporting regional initiatives and promoting conservation efforts.

In Short

  • Coordinate with regional and global communications teams.
  • Create engaging social media content.
  • Provide creative support for campaigns and events.
  • Research and write articles for BirdLife Magazine and website.
  • Source and present topical flyways news stories.
  • Ensure clear and coherent communication across offices.
  • Assist in networking with BirdLife partners.
  • Manage tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Work on a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of one day per week in Cambridge.
  • Contribute to a global conservation initiative.

Requirements

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in internal/external communications.
  • Proven track record in content creation and editing.
  • Experience with social media and intranet content management.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of global and environmental issues.
  • Ability to build networks across diverse cultures.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset.
