Associate Commerce Editor - Remote

Overview

BDG is seeking a full-time remote or hybrid Associate Commerce Editor to join our growing Commerce and Affiliate Marketing team. The team consists of editors and business strategists who create the affiliate content across all of BDG’s sites, including Bustle, Elite Daily, Inverse, Mic, and Scary Mommy. These articles, and the Commerce team broadly, operate separately from each site’s editorial team. Commerce articles are written to generate revenue from sales of products featured in the articles.

In Short

• Edit stories from Commerce writers for grammar, voice, product choice, and formatting.
• Research products and interview experts across several categories, including beauty, tech, and home.
• Update and optimize existing content.
• Use analytics tools to monitor content performance and form recommendations.
• Work on content covering a wide range of product categories.
• Write and edit in a brand-aligned, engaging, and persuasive tone.
• Analyze traffic and performance data to improve SEO and conversion rates.
• 3+ years of experience in e-commerce or editorial.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress.
• Some experience managing writers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in e-commerce or editorial—strong preference for background in affiliate content.
• Ability to write and edit in a brand-aligned, engaging, and persuasive tone.
• Strong analytical mindset—comfortable reviewing performance data.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or custom publishing tools.
• Some experience managing writers.
• Experience using affiliate platforms such as Amazon Associates.
