Overview

As an Intermediate Hydrology & Hydraulics / Water Resources Engineer at W.F. Baird, you will design hydraulic infrastructure and lead river restoration projects that positively impact communities and ecosystems.

In Short

Design hydraulic infrastructure and river restoration projects.
Conduct numerical modeling for river and watershed projects worldwide.
Manage project delivery from conception to completion.
Mentor junior-level scientists and engineers.
Participate in proposal preparation and interviews.

Engage with diverse teams across different offices and time zones.
Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Requirements

B.S. or M.Eng. in civil, hydraulic, or water resources engineering.
5+ years of relevant experience in hydrology and hydraulics.
A valid Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering codes and modeling techniques.
Experience in flood risk reduction and climate resiliency.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proven project management and organizational abilities.
Flexible and adaptable to dynamic project environments.
Willingness to travel as needed.
