AI Platform Lead - Remote

Overview

As an AI Platform Lead, you will be the hands-on technical owner of a new AI platform that powers intelligent features in our cloud-based retail system for hearing care. You will design and build production services, lead a team of engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to evolve the technical direction.

• Design, implement, and operate cloud-native AI services on Azure.
• Own and evolve speech-to-text transcription pipeline.
• Build and maintain LLM-driven data transformation capabilities.
• Design and own an agent framework for orchestrating tools and backend services.
• Lead best practices and support architectural decisions.
• Mentor a group of engineers and drive improvements in code quality.
• Collaborate with architects to refine AI-related architecture.
• Define clear APIs and SDKs for other teams.
• Establish the AI platform as a trusted internal resource.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and cost-efficiency in production.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in backend or platform services.
• Strong experience with .NET and/or Python.
• Knowledge of MCP, MAF, Microsoft Foundry.
• Experience building AI-powered features or services.
• Experience integrating with speech-to-text providers.
• Previous experience as a tech lead or similar role.
• Solid engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, observability.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated domains (nice-to-have).
• Azure experience (AKS, App Services, etc.) (nice-to-have).
• Experience designing internal platforms/SDKs (nice-to-have).
