Overview

We are seeking a Behavior Specialist Consultant to join our team and provide expert behavioral assessment and intervention services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs), conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), and collaborating with families, educators, and support teams to improve the quality of life for individuals with behavioral challenges.

In Short

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including FBAs, VB-MAPP, MAS, FAST, QABF, EDMR, and Vineland.
  • Develop and implement personalized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to address challenging behaviors and teach positive skills.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to guide intervention strategies.
  • Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and educators on implementing behavior plans.
  • Collect and analyze data-driven metrics to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
  • Focus on skill-building in communication, social interaction, and independent living skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, psychologists, and educators, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Advocate for clients in educational and community settings to ensure proper accommodations and supports.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) in Pennsylvania (or eligible).
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) eligibility is a plus.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in behavior therapy, special education, or mental health settings.
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments and designing behavior interventions for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, families, and professional teams.
  • Ability to work in various settings, including homes, schools, and clinical environments.
  • Knowledge of data collection, graphing, and progress monitoring techniques.
