Financial Data Analyst - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a driven, ambitious, and experienced Financial Data Analyst to support a financially-focused agency in ingesting corporate data and analyzing it effectively for anomalies in trading data. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with experience in working with financial data and appreciates the value of the enforcement mission.

In Short

• Data analysis to identify potential trading violations and issues
• Working with large data extracts which may need transformation and manipulation before analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Math, or Computer Science (Master’s in any of these a plus)
• 5+ years of related work experience
• Prior experience and proven interest in the financial services industry, working for either an asset management firm or supporting a capital markets compliance team
• Familiarity with the different types of securities that the funds trade and knowledge of how trading is conducted
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Bloomberg Terminal
• Ability to use multiple financial toolkits for data analysis
• Ability to analyze and make sense of complex information
• Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• U.S. Citizenship required (dual nationals not eligible)
• Position will require a Public Trust background investigation
