Overview

AIS is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based solutions in support of federal defense and intelligence missions.

In Short

  • Design and implement cloud architectures aligned with DoD and federal strategies.
  • Develop resilient, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Leverage containerization and orchestration for secure deployments.
  • Build Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD Zero Trust principles.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with government and industry partners.
  • Support Authority to Operate processes through documentation and validation.
  • Participate in the modernization of DoD environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–7 years in cloud engineering or DevSecOps roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
  • Strong foundation in networking and security.
  • Deep understanding of DoD security frameworks.
  • Relevant cloud certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with data platforms and analytics services is a plus.
  • Prior experience delivering solutions for DoD customers is desirable.
