Design Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Design Engineer will work within various software products to assemble design documents, quotes, and renderings that communicate design intent and details for all stages of the project life cycle, interfacing with construction teams and clients to ensure the design meets customer needs.

In Short

• Support the sales, installation, and support of Audio, Video, Lighting, Network, and Acoustical Systems.
• Assemble design documents and renderings using various software.
• Model various systems including Acoustic and Speaker Systems.
• Perform calculations for electrical/heat loads and rigging weights.
• Translate information into project drawings for communication with other trades.
• Interface with Architects, General Contractors, and Engineers.
• Ensure designs meet customer needs through functional drawings.
• 3-5 years of design level experience required.
• Experience with key software such as Vectorworks, D-Tools, and SketchUp.
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage provided.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of Design level experience.
• Proficiency in Vectorworks, D-Tools, SketchUp, and Excel.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience are a plus.
• Experience with various Manufacturer’s Speaker modeling Software.
• Knowledge of Dialux for lighting design.
