Overview

The Pharmacy Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently posting payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts within the pharmacy's billing system. This role ensures that all transactions are adequately downloaded from external clearing houses and passthrough entities, including the validation of payments through our bank deposits.

In Short

  • Accurately post all forms of payments from PBM partners.
  • Reconcile daily PBM payment batches with bank deposits.
  • Identify and address unapplied cash and payment discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with billing and collections teams.
  • Maintain accurate logs for auditing purposes.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Generate reports related to PBM payment postings.
  • Collaborate to resolve payment-related issues.
  • Act as point of contact for prescription payments.

Requirements

  • Previous Pharmacy Experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient typing and keyboarding skills.
  • Fluency in English.
