Overview

The American Immigration Council seeks an experienced videographer or video production team to help produce a series of three original immigrant stories, combining short-form video and still images, optimized for Instagram and related digital platforms.

In Short

  • Produce three short video narratives over an 18-month period.
  • Highlight compelling immigrant stories in a documentary style.
  • Blend video clips and still photography for social media formats.
  • Each video runs 60–90 seconds with additional cutdowns as needed.
  • Deliver videos in multiple formats for cross-platform publishing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Council's team on story development.
  • Prioritize ethical storytelling and the safety of subjects.
  • Include storyboards, shot lists, and release forms.
  • Budget proposals should cover all aspects of production.
  • Submit proposals by August 15, 2025.

Requirements

  • Experience in documentary or narrative short-form video production.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical storytelling.
  • Visual style aligned with the Council's goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with nonprofit teams.
  • Portfolio of relevant video work required.
  • Proposed vision and strategy for the project.
  • Clarity of budget and cost-effectiveness.
  • References from previous clients preferred.
  • Availability between Fall 2025 and Winter 2027.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Instagram.
