Director of Education & Outreach for Latino Community - Remote

Overview

The Director, Education & Outreach, Latino Community will work in collaboration with the Associate Vice President of Programs and Health Equity to develop strategic approaches for the Latino Community, including program planning, community and caregiver education, outreach, and community partnerships.

In Short

• Develop and oversee a Latino Dementia Care Network for Los Angeles County.
• Supervise and mentor Latino Community staff.
• Plan and implement strategic program goals for community education and outreach.
• Develop educational materials and trainings for Latinos.
• Prepare and monitor education budgets.
• Deliver educational workshops in English and Spanish.
• Conduct interviews and speak at community events.
• Ensure grant obligations are met.
• Support social media efforts targeting the Spanish speaking community.
• Participate in community meetings and networking events.

Requirements

• B.A. degree in Social Work, Gerontology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of eight years in community education roles.
• Strong curriculum development skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• High level of integrity and initiative.
