Interiors Design & Release Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Interiors D&R Engineer is responsible for the component and system level design, development, validation, timing and production release of various interior systems including Seat Systems, Structure & Components, TRIM, and Cockpit.

In Short

• Responsible for design and development of interior components
• Manage component and system level validation testing
• Oversee release of components including Bill of Material
• Issue engineering change notices
• Review and approve FMEAs and DVP&Rs
• Support prototype builds and issue resolution
• Conduct testing and validation for production release
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ensure compliance with functional objectives
• Participate in launch production support

Requirements

• Experience in interiors design and engineering
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong understanding of validation testing processes
• Knowledge of automotive industry standards
• Ability to manage engineering change processes
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience with Bill of Materials management
• Familiarity with FMEA and DVP&R methodologies
