General Accountant - Remote

Overview

The General Accountant is responsible for managing various accounting tasks including sales audits, accounts receivable and payable activities, and supporting financial closing processes.

In Short

• Responsible for weekly sales audits and wholesale invoicing.
• Manage daily accounts receivable activities including cash collections.
• Handle daily accounts payable activities including vendor bill processing.
• Support inventory accounting and subledger maintenance.
• Assist in monthly financial closing processes.
• Participate in external audit and tax requests.
• Support financial and accounting system implementations.
• Perform other reporting and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in AR and AP activities.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables.
• Highly analytical with a problem-solving mentality.
• Knowledge of business accounting systems, Quickbooks required.
• Able to work independently and in groups.
