The Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist (CDIS) is responsible for leading education and training related to accurate diagnostic documentation and coding, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and internal protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
• Current CPC certification or equivalent is required.
• CDEO or CCDS-O certification preferred.
• 3+ years of CDI experience or 5+ years as a risk adjustment auditor.
• Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Thorough understanding of coding guidelines and regulations.
• Expertise in CMS HCC Risk Adjustment program.
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities in documentation.
• Experience working with physician practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
