Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic at Saputo is responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment, ensuring efficient operations and minimal downtime.

In Short

• Responsible for reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
• Works on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Night shift position (7pm - 7am).
• Hourly rate of $42.98.
• 1-year contract.
• Requires Millwright certification or equivalent.
• Experience in the food industry preferred.
• Additional skills in welding, HVAC, or PLC are advantageous.
• Collaborates with other trades for project assignments.
• Follows safety protocols and improves operational standards.

Requirements

• Journeyperson ticket/license in Millwright.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Hands-on experience in a high-speed packaging plant.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Sanitary stainless steel welding license is a plus.
• Electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience.
• 4th class power engineering certification is an asset.
• Experience with refrigeration and air handling systems.
