Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Remote

Overview

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be responsible for owning the test automation strategy for the SaaS Platform team at 8am, focusing on critical user journeys and API contract coverage.

In Short

• Own the end-to-end (E2E) flow automation strategy for critical customer journeys.
• Build and maintain automation using Python with Playwright and PyTest.
• Integrate tests into CircleCI and enforce quality gates.
• Validate authentication and role/permission flows.
• Partner with Quality Engineers to close risk and coverage signals with automation.
• Use AI tooling for test plan generation and automation scaffolding.
• 6+ years in software development or test automation.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and PyTest.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization.
• Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.

Requirements

• 6+ years in software development or test automation.
• Advanced to expert in Python and PyTest.
• Experience testing authentication, provisioning, and role/permission systems.
• Advanced SQL knowledge for test data setup.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience standing up a test automation framework from scratch.
• Familiarity with Quality KPIs and PCI compliance.
• Experience with test case management and defect tracking.
• Strong understanding of risk-based testing concepts.
