We are looking for an experienced individual to lead our accounting department. Whether remote or on-site in Cologne – with us, you will take on responsibility in a dynamic, modern environment.

In Short

• Lead a small, specialized accounting team of currently four employees, including active operational involvement in daily business.
• Responsible for financial accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and asset accounting, bank bookings, and international payment transactions.
• Ensure timely and correct processing of weekly billing and payments to product providers (vendors) and affiliates.
• Preparation and participation in the creation of annual financial statements and communication with tax advisors and auditors.
• Optimize existing processes in close collaboration with internal IT – focusing on automation, digital tools, and AI applications.

Requirements

• Completed training as a financial accountant, tax specialist, or comparable qualification – alternatively, several years of experience in financial accounting with a focus on annual financial statements and process optimization.
• Solid knowledge of national and international VAT (EU, third countries, reverse charge, OSS).
• Proficient use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and willingness to delve deeply into internal accounting systems and digital workflows (Google Sheets, Excel).
• Leadership experience and enjoyment in actively developing employees and processes.
• Strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, cost awareness, and solution-oriented communication.
• Affinity for digitalization and interest in new technologies, ideally first contacts with AI in accounting.
