Senior Structural Engineer, Data Center - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with experience in hyperscale and colocation data center facility design to join our growing Data Center practice. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in large scale concrete and steel structures, a proven track record delivering fast paced technology / industrial projects, and a passion for advancing low carbon and resilient design strategies.

In Short

• Lead and perform structural design and analysis for multiple data center buildings.
• Develop design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing systems, and foundations.
• Coordinate design deliverables with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams.
• Oversee preparation of construction documents, specifications, and calculations.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Engage with clients and contractors to address technical queries.
• Support business development and proposal writing.
• Travel as needed for project-related activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE or SE).
• 10+ years of experience in building structures design.
• 3+ years of experience in data center facilities.
• Proficiency with BIM tools like Revit and structural analysis software.
• Strong understanding of concrete and steel systems, seismic design, and foundations.
• Experience with low embodied carbon materials and sustainable design.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Ability to interpret national and local building codes.
