Senior Mechanical Designer for Data Centers - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking to hire a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Designer for the Data Center and Mission Critical team for our east region. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule while requiring occasional travel for client meetings and project milestones.

• Design and develop HVAC systems for data centers.
• Select appropriate cooling systems based on specific requirements.
• Conduct internal and external CFD simulations for optimization.
• Ensure redundancy and fault tolerance in HVAC designs.
• Perform heat load calculations for capacity planning.

• Maintain air quality through appropriate filtration systems.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Direct experience supporting data center projects preferred.
• Experience with hyperscale or colocation clients is a plus.
• Professional licensure preferred but not required.
