Senior BIM Modeller - Structures - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior BIM Modeller - Structures to be based in South Africa's Enterprise Capabilities office in Cape Town. This position will support a team locally based in South Africa and Global Teams. As a part of AECOM's culture, it offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement which accommodates both office and out-of-office work schedules.

In Short

• Experience in Autodesk Revit Software (MEP and Structures) and Autodesk Civil 3D to model and produce drawings with limited supervision.
• Prepare BIM models and deliverables to ensure they meet Client requirements, Industry Standards and project BIM Execution Plan.
• Checks the completeness & accuracy of work before review by the Senior Engineer or designated senior team member.
• Support work, related to projects in the department, as directed by the Team Leader.
• Follow coordination strategy and reporting using Navisworks and other coordination software and supports the team through the delivery phase.
• Assist with the management and coordination of all in-coming and out-going model and drawing information.
• Manages projects in BIM360.
• Organizes own work to achieve set deadlines.
• Keeps abreast of the latest software/ techniques to increase productivity.
• Modelling of below ground services in Revit, such as conduits, pipes and chambers.

Requirements

• Ability to fulfil all the above duties and responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Industry BIM standards, processes, and general approaches.
• Knowledge to set up the configuration and administration of projects for respective discipline in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Script writing to develop modelling of underground services in Revit.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks, presentation software and working on projects in a BIM environment.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant Revit modelling.
• BIM Qualification / Diploma.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, literacy and numerical skills.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
