Overview

AECOM is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to oversee Federal environmental remediation projects, with a flexible location preference in the Great Lakes and Ohio River region.

In Short

  • Manage and direct professional staff on complex environmental projects.
  • Lead teams using advanced scientific principles and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Analyze financial statements and manage budgets.
  • Prepare work plans and organize project studies.
  • Supervise junior and mid-level staff during project phases.
  • Conduct reviews and provide feedback for staff improvement.
  • Perform complex assignments requiring unique solutions.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Familiarity with PFAS and environmental regulations is preferred.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • Professional License (PE, PG, PMP, CHMM, or similar) preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in environmental remediation project management.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Experience with stakeholder negotiations and managing Federal projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in proposal preparation and project scheduling.
  • Interest in business development is a plus.
