Overview

AECOM is seeking a High Voltage Transmission Electrical Engineer specializing in HVDC electrical power systems to support various engineering tasks related to high voltage transmission projects.

In Short

• Provide engineering support for HVDC terrestrial and submarine cable systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies for HVDC cable routing and converter stations.
• Prepare conceptual engineering documents.
• Work with project teams on design schedules and budgets.
• Perform power system studies and PSCAD model development.
• Field experience including testing of HVDC equipment.
• Develop construction and equipment specifications.
• Participate in client meetings and technical proposal development.
• Perform quality control reviews of engineering work.
• Support projects during construction and commissioning phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in electrical power engineering and leadership.
• Master's degree and P.E. license preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with FACTS and power systems analysis software.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Experience on full EPC projects from start to finish.
• Owner’s Engineering experience is a plus.
• Experience working with remote teams.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
