Electrical Engineer - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Transmission and Distribution group within the Energy practice. This role offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely or at various Energy offices across the United States.

In Short

• Support electrical engineering design work on assigned projects.
• Conduct power system studies and develop diagrams.
• Perform arc-flash hazard calculations.
• Design DC power distribution and develop specifications.
• Support projects during construction and commissioning.
• Occasional travel to client or project sites.
• Work under the guidance of senior staff.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data.
• Propose solutions to engineering problems.
• Ensure work is completed within budget and schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2 years of relevant high or medium voltage experience.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Field experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with power systems analysis software.
• Exposure to renewable generation projects.
• Ability to work with remote teams.
