Overview

AECOM is seeking an experienced Construction Manager/Resident Engineer to oversee construction projects for the Amtrak ADA Stations Program, ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act while working primarily remotely.

In Short

  • Manage multiple construction contracts from solicitation to acceptance.
  • Provide technical oversight and monitor contractor performance.
  • Encourage a culture of safety on all projects.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect ongoing work.
  • Manage contract closeout processes.
  • Document contractor performance and compliance.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly progress reports.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and change orders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
  • Preferred degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering.
  • CCM or PMP certifications are preferred.
  • Experience in construction oversight and inspection.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
