Social Media Intern - Remote

Overview

The ACLU seeks a Social Media intern in the Communications and Marketing team of the ACLU’s National office in New York, NY. This position can be remote or hybrid.

In Short

• Assist the ACLU’s social media team in researching, producing, scheduling, and measuring content performance.
• Produce social media content for various platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, and Facebook.
• Assist in scheduling content during rapid response moments.
• Prepare analytics reports with assistance from social media editors or the social media manager.
• Gain valuable experience working on a wide variety of issues.
• Work collaboratively with the team while also being able to work independently.
• Commit to advancing the mission of the ACLU.
• Center principles of equity, inclusion, and belonging in work.
• Be committed to resolving obstacles and conflicts respectfully.
• Full-time commitment required for the summer internship.

Requirements

• Experience using TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter for professional, academic, or extracurricular purposes.
• Attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

• $20/hour for undergraduate students or equivalent experience.
• $24/hour for graduate and law students or equivalent experience.
